Helloindonesia.id<\/strong> – Sakai is one of the tribes<\/a> that inhabit the inland areas of Riau<\/a> on the island of Sumatra. The ancestors of the Sakai tribe<\/a> are believed to have come from Pagaruyung, a Malay kingdom that once existed in West Sumatra. In the past, the Sakai tribe had a nomadic pattern of life, moving from one region to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the traditional objects of the Sakai tribe<\/a> is timo. Timo is a container made of dried buffalo skin. The side of the container is given a circular boundary made of rattan and then given a rope which is also made of rattan. Timo is used by the Sakai people as a container to store honey.
 
The Sakai culture, which has an agrarian style, is also characterized by tools that function as agricultural tools such as galleys. This tool made from bamboo and tree trunks functions as a manggalo cassava clamping tool for extracting the starch. Previously, peeled mangosteen was collected in a container called a bucket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, the Sakai tribe<\/a> also produces clothing that is one hundred percent made from nature. The clothes of these tribes<\/a> people used to live in a nomadic system made of bark. This clothing was used by the Sakai tribe<\/a> to survive during the relocation of places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sakai tribe<\/a> is one of the cultural treasures of the archipelago. Although their lifestyle is still nomadic and dependent on nature, the Sakai people are able to survive by creating tools for household needs through the use of nature.
