Indonesian Traditional Turmeric

Turmeric or turmeric (Java) is one type of spice plant that grows in Indonesia. Research shows that turmeric is not just a flavoring. The benefits of turmeric for health have been known more than 4,000 years ago and are used to treat various diseases.

For traditional medicine, the efficacy of turmeric is no doubt. Medically, turmeric contains curcuminoid compounds which are important factors in treatment. The compound consists of curcumin, desmetoxycumin as much as 10% and bisdesmetoksikurkumin as much as 1-5%.

In addition there are also other beneficial substances such as essential oils containing sesquiterpen ketones, felandren, sabinen, turmeron, tumeon 60%, zingiberen 25%, borneol, and sineil. Apart from these ingredients, turmeric also contains 30% protein, vitamin C 45-55%, 1-3% fat, 3% carbohydrate, 8% starch, and mineral salts such as calcium, phosphorus, and iron.
