The name Soto Banjar itself is taken from the name of the majority tribe that inhabits the South Kalimantan region, namely the Banjar tribe. However, there is also another version which states that Soto Banjar was brought by the Demak army when providing assistance to the Banjar Kingdom.

For those of you who happen to be in South Kalimantan, don’t miss trying the Soto Banjar dish. This soto seller is often found in the Banjarmasin area and its surroundings. For one portion of Soto Banjar is usually sold at a price range of Rp. 20,000 – Rp. 25,000.
