The name Wakatobi itself is an extension of the four main islands, namely Wa from Wangi-wangi, Ka from Kaledupa, To from Tomia and Bi from Binongko. The best time to visit Wangi-Wangi Island is in April-June as well as October-December. To get to Wangi-wangi Island, you can choose a flight from Jakarta to Kendari or to Bau-bau. From Kendari, the journey continues by using a wooden ferry from Kendari Harbor to Wangi-wangi Island. You can also travel to Wangi-wangi Island by plane from Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar to Matahora Airport, Wangi-wangi with a travel time of about 2 hours. However, the flight schedule must be adjusted. Because not every day there are flights to Wangi-wangi.
