Banana Bread, Fragrant, Tempting Sweet Snacks typical of Kutai
Helloindonesia.id – The shape is round and flat, yellowish in color with a distinctive sweet taste. That’s banana bread, one of the culinary treasures of Kutai Kartanegara. This type of jajak (market snacks) is a dish that tempts the taste buds in spare time. Suitable for evoking intimacy when chatting with relatives and friends.
Banana bread actually bears a lot of resemblance to frames. In terms of basic ingredients, these two types of cakes are both made of wheat flour, coconut milk, sugar, salt, and eggs. What distinguishes it, as the name implies, banana bread uses sliced bananas as a mixture of dough. The bananas used in this snack are usually plantains or taro bananas. This additional component creates a unique taste, aroma, and texture.
Another thing that sets it apart is the manufacturing process. In contrast to baked bingka, banana bread is cooked using a mold like making martabak or moonlit cakes. The mold is approximately 10 centimeters in diameter with a depth of about 1-2 centimeters.
Making banana bread begins by mixing flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a bowl. Next, add the eggs and coconut milk and stir until well combined. Shredded bananas are put into the mixture while heating a mold that has been greased with butter.
The dough is put in the mold and left until the bottom surface is slightly browned. Once browned, flip the cake over until the top is quite cooked. Banana bread is ready to be served. This dish is even better when enjoyed while warm.
