The name Siladen is said to have originated when the ship used by the Sangier people went sailing. But in the middle of the road, the ship that was used as transportation capital sank for some reason. The survivors swam to an uninhabited island which was adjacent to the ship. They settled down and named the island as Siladen which means aground.

Regarding beauty, Siladen Island combines the beauty of white sand decorated with rows of lush trees. This row of trees gives a distinct feel of coolness when on this island.

While the edge of the island is awarded with a stretch of white sand. The texture of the sand is soft like flour, perfect for pampering tired feet around the island.

Spread the beach cloth and lay your body down, then enjoy the quiet atmosphere of Siladen Island. Let this island for a moment take your mind off your daily routine. Gaze at the landscape of the open ocean.

If saturated, change your lying position to the right. There you can see the island of Manado Tua, which rises like a mountain. The occasional view of fishermen removing nets to catch fish hiding behind the water is also presented here. These are all sights that can rarely be seen in the midst of the bustle of the busy city.

Satisfied with the expanse of sunlight, try the freshness of the water that looks calm on this island. But be careful, if the current is high, you should not do it because it can make the body drift into the middle of the ocean. We recommend that if you want to feel the fresh water come in the morning or afternoon when the sea water is receding.

The corals on this island are also another beautiful dish on this island. All can be seen from the density of the corals that are side by side. Unlike Bunaken Island, which is filled with snorkeling equipment renters, here there is not a single rental place that can be seen. There are only fishermen’s houses and inns. We recommend that if you visit here, it is advisable to bring your own tools if you want to see the underwater beauty of Siladen Island.

For those who want to dive, the inn provides tools and instructors who will be ready to take you to several dive points on Siladen Island.

To be able to enjoy the beauty of Siladen Island, tourists can travel from the port in Manado City. With a travel time of 45 minutes, visitors can feel the beauty of the island which has an area of about 32 hectares.
