Tanjung Aan Beach, Beautiful Enchantment of Mandalika
Helloindonesia.id – The beach is located in the Mandalika Region, Central Lombok, NTB has a uniqueness, namely the texture of the sand. Some of the sand on Tanjung Aan Beach is white and has a soft texture like flour. Some are yellowish with a round shape resembling peppercorns. Therefore, this charming beach has been nicknamed as pepper beach and flour beach.
The round sand of Tanjung Aan Beach resembles pepper.

The area around the coast in the south of the Lombok region is surrounded by lush trees and hills. Visitors can climb the hill to see the beauty of the beach from a height.
Besides climbing the hill, visitors can also do various activities, such as snorkeling, sunbathing or relaxing on the beach, even surfing.Visitors can also swim at this beach comfortably because the water is clear, the waves are quite calm, and the depth is relatively shallow.
If you come to the Mandalika area in February, visitors can witness the Bau Nyale ritual, which is looking for sea worms (nyale) which are believed by the local community as the reincarnation of Princess Mandalika. Local residents believe the sea worms bring blessings to those who appreciate them. Residents also believe people will experience bad luck when they underestimate nyale.

Tanjung Aan Beach is about 24 kilometers or an hour away by motorized vehicle from Lombok International Airport. This beach, which is part of the Mandalika region, has been inaugurated as a Special Economic Zone (KEK) by the government of President Joko Widodo.
